Astronomical Society of the Pacific
The Astronomical Society of the Pacific (ASP) is the parent organization for the Galileo Teacher Training Program in the United States. Originally organized in 1889, the ASP has many programs in astronomy education and has a mission of "Advancing science literacy through astronomy."
Some of the signature programs of the ASP includes the NASA Night Sky Network, Astronomy From the Ground-up, and Project ASTRO. To find out more about these and other ASP programs and resources, go to: http://www.astrosociety.org
